For Brian

I've been checking my draft posts to realise there is a couple of cards that haven't been posted and this is one of them. A card for my BIL I've used the fab digi image from Karen Doodles What a Swing since he plays golf I thought this would be perfect.
Also  the fabulous papers are New Leaf from First Edition which are not this wishy washy in real life. I hate mens cards just never know what to embellish them with.

Anything Goes

It's Anything Goes Week over at Simon Says Stamps Challenge and the team are Showcasing Unity or Lawn Fawn Stamps of course you don't have to use them, its a chance for the team to show some of the wonderful goodies Simon Says Stamps have in their shop.

I've got two cards to show today the first its a Christmas Card using the Unity Itty Bitty Oh Joy stamp. The papers are Basic Grey Nordic and  once again I've used the Martha Stewart Holly punch. I love how different this is from what I usually make and I actually like it.
I've also made this card using Unity Itty Bittty Rain or Shine, bit more my style. I've paper pieced the couple using Kaiser Chanteuse papers, the sentiment came with the stamp. The border is of course Martha Stewart doily punch, the flowers are CC dies with some added embellishments.

Now don't forget the fabulous prize you can win but you have to enter to win it.

Well I had major issues yesterday a power cut and somehow it blew my light where I colour my images but I think my phone, telly and broadband provider had even worst problems cos it took all evening for them to come back.

Merry and Bright

Well this weeks challenge on Everybody Art Challenge is for Nikolaus or in my case Father Christmas so I dusted off my favourite Santa from Sugar Nellie.
I've used the sketch from sketch and stash from the other week and the papers are Doodlbug. Lots of embossing for the ribbon band I used the Argyle folder and yes I've used the snow flurries. Not sure why I bothered with the Martha Stewart with the Martha Stewart icicle punch since I covered it all up.
I also used my memory box snowflake which I cut out two and cut down one to make the layers the other snowflakes are MFT. I used Funflock again on his clothers and stickles for his beard with some red gems to finish the snowflakes all done.
Don't forget to check out the team and I do hope you can join us this week.

Sweet Winifred

I love Mo Manning Winifred not just cos she is gorgeous but she is easy to colour and layer makes my life so much easier.
I've used the latest sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and I know black isn't a colour you think of at Christmas but it does make a striking card.
The snowflakes are MFT, the corner is a cuttlebug die but it comes in a set and the sentiment is stamping up.
Well lots of thing ticked off my list one of is making boxes for a couple cards I don't make boxes I always get the lids the wrong size but this time it just worked but I might be tempting fate because I realise I've another one to make.
The most disappointing thing is I've work out how many Christmas Cards I need still have over a dozen to make and a phone call from DS means another 6 has been added although these can be clean and simple. Also DD wants a baby card, she would now that I've given all my cards to Sis for various school fares.

Back to the fabulous Ragged Santa by Mo Manning I wish now I didn't bother with the flowersoft and fun flock because he so gorgeous he's better left alone.
I've used the Authentique papers and the Sketch and Stash sketch, sneaked in the Martha Stewart picket fence and I've used the Holly punch again.
Sorry its another quick post have a lot of stuff on my List to do at the moment just need to see this week out and life should go back to normal!

Red and Embossing

It's the last of the month long Christmas challenges on Penny Black Saturday Challenge and this week its Red and Embossing.
So I used Penny Black Snowman  and made a snow scene, using snowflakes stamped with versamark then embossed with white embossing powder. Then I cut out 3 wavy strips and embossed them using the cuttlebug folder divine swirls I think its called I embossed my wavy snow.
Love the the fabulous Penny Black sentiment which I used a nestie for but I drew round it to make the red mat. Just a bit of ribbon to finish and thats another one in the box.
Do pop over the check out the gorgeous creations made by the team and there some yummy ribbon from our Sponsor Fantastic Ribbons.
Well I've almost finished my nephews card was having issue with glue for some strange reason pretty sure I was wearing some when I decided enough was enough.

Be quick though I'm drawing it later today.

Touch of Fairy Dust.

Well I almost there with the Christmas presents just have to update my list and this weekend its writing the Christmas cards ready for the 1st December.
So I'm still needing a few although I not sure I need another Christmas Fairy but I love this cute one from Sugar Nellie and why not use the latest Sugar Bowl sketch. The papers are last years Echo Park and I've embossed the white card with snow flurries from the Cuttlebug. Picket fence and Icicle border punches from Martha Stewart as well as the snowflakes finished with a Craftwork card sentiment.
I also want to say thank you to Sketch and Stash and Christmas Challenge for choosing my card for the Top 3, what a fabulous boost to my ego.
Well another quick post cos I still haven't made the card for Sunday and a project I want to be ready to post on Tuesday. It doesn't help my browser isn't being helpful he may find himself deleted if he's not careful.

Purple and Cute

Phew guess you thought I didn't have a card to show but I had to wait for a bit of daylight to photo today's card but then my browser decided to have a bit of hissy fit.
Anyway here I am with a card using Sketch Saturday sketch 182 using the cutest image called Heidi from Sylvia Zet. The papers are a download from Nitwits and I brought the smaller Marianne poinsettia dies and these should of been of the Tilda card that I showed this week but changed my mind. The magnolia swirl and the cuttlebug corners. I've also used fun flock and a bit of flowersoft too.
Well the Christmas shopping was exhausting like to say its all brought but have another list for this afternoon and then just stuck on two presents.
Still have a couple of projects that must be done this weekend although one of them needs to be brought forward and made immediately for Sunday and it won't get done sitting at the PC.

Happy Thanksgiving

An Extra Tilda Treat.

I was looking for a particular card and discovered in my draft files this little Tilda. She was a card I made exclusivily for Simon Says Stamps blog but she was published there some time ago. So since I show all the cards I make on my blog and thats including the awful ones too.
Here she is the papers are Kaiser and the deep edge doily punch has had an outing alone with the Martha Stewart butterflies.

Tag you it

Ok its Wednesday morning its actually Tuesday night but I doing the dreaded Christmas present shopping  so this post is being schedule (Please Mr Blogger). So on Simon Says Stamps Challenge this week we're looking for dies or punches on your cards.
I've made another side step card, as soon as I saw the new Magnolia and saw the Tilda skating I knew I needed her to go with Tilda and Edwin skating along with the Winter Forest stamp my card as almost taken shape.
Love my trees but unfortunately most stores are now out of stock. I've used Glamour dust to make them sparkle and so did I for the next couple of days.
The papers are Basic Grey Nordic, I've used the Catalina Memory Box die and a nestie label die for the tag, the sentiment is using Penny Black Joy Hope and Wonder stamp. Martha Stewart Icicle punch and a cuttlebug corner die to finish.
Do hope you can join us this week because someone's got to win.

EAC christmas

The new challenge this week at Everybody Art Challenge is for Christmas and PB mice were coloured and waiting. Only then did I remember what a big image this was so the card is Clean and simple and let my image do the talking.
The papers are Echo Park Holly Jolly and the Holly is a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is stamping up, I've used carcarss of the craftwork sentiments of draw round the oval shape and then used the stamping up oval punch.
Do pop over and check out the team, hope you can join in too.
Lucky for me this another for my Christmas pile and I've finished the Secret Project took the best part of yesterday forget how long these things take. But now my DD has brought home another favour for me to do with a deadline, do not like deadlines.

Busy Tilda Card

There is part of me that now wishes I left the white poinsettias on this card, it looks fine in real life but once again the camera has picked on my flowers and made the red brighter than it is.
Anyway the card is using this week Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Just Magnolia challenge is for ribbon so the gingham ribbon work for that.
Short and sweet today my secret project I've started on at the Crop needs finishing and I didn't get a point that I wanted yesterday so I feel I'm behind already.
A visit to MIL soon means the Christmas cards need to made, inserts placed and written before 1st December as well as some presents brought and wrapped but I'm not stressing who am I kidding!

Baby I Love Ya

To make one of my 3d images I have to sometimes stamp up to 6 images and with dodgy joints at this time of the year of making Christmas Cards I'm so thankful for digi images. Of course my favourite artist is Mo Manning and her babies are 100% cute and adorable and this Love Ya baby I've used today is no exception.
I've also used the fabulous Pink Ink Sketch with Echo Park Country Drive papers. Really pleased how this turned and out.
I'm off to Scrapbuddies later, I was making Christmas Cards but a secret project needs to be make and I want it out of the way so I can finish those cards.

Snowman and Candy

As soon as I make a few cards I'm making a draft post for them but I've now got quite a few posts and not sure which challenge runs out first. This is for the Christmas Challenge Sketch which when I go and copy the link it will probably be a new one I've missed.
This has got to be my favourite snowman well at least till I make another snowman card but this chap is an old Sugar Nellie I think maybe he is still available.
The papers are Echo Park Holly Jolly and my poor Martha Stewart snowflake punches are working overtime and not too happy hate to think they're wearing out.
A touch of ribbon and bit of bling job finishes.

Remember I mentioned that I have the most amazing followers all 1500 truly awesome. Well here a some candy a few stamps, some ribbon and some pearls. Just add your name to Mr Linky and if he goes out for a beer please pop back when he returns and enter your name. I'll draw the candy next Saturday.

Green and Trees

Sorry for the awful pic and this is the second time I've tried to photo this card it didn't help it was grey and dreary and the fact its a large A4 card.
It's time for another week of Christmas Challenges on Penny Black Saturday Challenge this time its for Green and Trees.
The Penny Black stamp I've used is an old one that they've turned into a slapstick stamp and she is big girl which is why she's on a big card.
The papers are Echo Park I think and I have them in 6inch pad so I had to make a sneaky join under the tree. Another apology for the embossing folder and no apology for using yet again the Martha Stewart Holly punch.
Do check out the team, they made a much better job than me.
I will probably be back later with a little bit of candy cos I just seen how many followers I have. I'm totally gobsmacked to have 1500 that is totally amazing and a huge Thank you is required to you all for loving my blog.

When is a Card not a Card

When its a tag. Well at least that's what I thought the Papertake Challenge was but apparently it suppose to double up to make something else like a gift card.
Here's my Tag, made with the Magnolia tree stamp and the Memory box die and MFT snowflakes. I'm sorry but I've used the Cuttlebug snow flurries embossing folder which I know is impossible to get. Just some gems to finish.
I'm really pleased with the end result but I don't make tags like this and I won't be able to use it because everyone will want one so.
So I added it to a card. Which I have used the Sizzix embossing folder, another tree and the picket fench border punch and the cuttlebug corner die. Just a ribbon to finish and masses of glamour dust on the trees, my desk and on me.

Mo's blog hop

Sorry but this is probably going to be another long post but you might find it worth bearing with it.
So I've the great honour to be the Guest DT for Mo's Dream Team and today we're having a blog hop where you have chance to win some vouchers to spend in Mos Digital shop.
The blog hop has a theme and Lori is the host, she choose A Gift. I'm really not that good at making gifts especially as I've already done a notelet book and a picture frame this week.
In the end I choose to make another book card they're are quite easy to make once you get the idea although I don't recommend trying to make a square one because you have to join two pieces paper together to make the cover. I've used the absolutely gorgeous Sugar Plum Fairy and some papers that I've had for ages and finally managed to cut into.
Love the Marianne poinsettia die and some small punched flowers to finish.
Inside is a necklace I've made using the same die and Sis you will be proud of me the jewellery twine has been knotted the Feliu's way.
Here's a close up of the necklace.
Hope you're still with me and hopefully you came to my blog from

and once you gave a comment here you need to pop along to

If you're lost then go back to Lori Blog that's where you'll find the start of the hop.

If you are still with me here's Vinnie modelling the said necklace to prove it is indeed a what I say, funny but the rest of the family refuse to do it, something to do with being on my blog!
